Wings of a Dove (WOAD) provides support, uplift and fellowship to anyone who is grieving. This includes the loss of spouses, parents, children, siblings, other family members, and friends.

To encourage its members, WOAD holds monthly meetings that include prayer, meditation and discussion of relevant topics. In addition, the Ministry sponsors field trips and/or social events from time to time. For example, discussion themes have included "The Gift of Life", "God's Providential Intervention", "Freedom in Christ," "Leaves of Gold", and "Words Fitly Spoken/Deeds Fitly Done." The Ministry has also sponsored activities such as potluck/game days and holiday socials.

Since 2011 the highlight of WOAD has been its annual grief seminar for members of the Woodland Park congregation, as well as members of sister congregations and the general community who have suffered any kind of loss and who are provided with resources in grief counseling by a professional speaker.
